Pixpet.net ("us", "we", or "our") operates the pixpet.net website (hereinafter referred to as the "Service").

What personal and non-personal information do we collect from the people that visit our website?
You can visit our site without giving us any personal information such as names or email addresses.
When registering on our site, as appropriate, you may be asked to enter your email address, mailing address and timezone to help you with your experience. Additionally upon registration our server saves unpersonalized logfiles which contain your browser data. The only purpose of those logfiles is to ensure the correct display of our website. If you create a Pixpet account and link it with Patreon, our database will store additional information such as your patreon email, as well as your first, last and full name you gave to Patreon. This data serves for identification purposes only and will be deleted again from our database once you disconnect accounts.

Our site also uses Google Adsense and Google Analytics which may collect additional data. Please read up the respective paragraphs for more information.

When do we collect information?
We collect information from you when you register on our site or enter information on our site as well as when you connect your registered account with Patreon.

How do we use your information?
We may use the information we collect from you when you register, sign up for our newsletter, respond to a survey or marketing communication, surf the website, or use certain other site features in the following ways:
  • To personalize your experience and to allow us to deliver the type of content and offerings in which you are most interested.

We do not use vulnerability scanning and/or scanning to PCI standards.
An external PCI compliant payment gateway handles all CC transactions.
We do not use Malware Scanning.

In addition, all sensitive/credit information you supply is encrypted via Secure Socket Layer (SSL) technology.

All transactions are processed through a gateway provider and are not stored or processed on our servers.

Payments
We may provide paid products and/or services within the Service. In that case, we use third-party services for payment processing (e.g. payment processors).

We will not store or collect your payment card details. That information is provided directly to our third-party payment processors whose use of your personal information is governed by their Privacy Policy. These payment processors adhere to the standards set by PCI-DSS as managed by the PCI Security Standards Council, which is a joint effort of brands like Visa, MasterCard, American Express and Discover. PCI-DSS requirements help ensure the secure handling of payment information.

How does our site handle Do Not Track signals?
We don't honor Do Not Track signals and Do Not Track, plant cookies, or use advertising when a Do Not Track (DNT) browser mechanism is in place. We don't honor them because:
